Eligible First Home Buyers, are you ready to miss out on $10K?

The Federal Governments HomeBuilder, a First Home Buyer stimulus of $25K ends 31 December 2021. More than 11,400 applications have been lodged and approved as of October this year, and a recent survey by the Housing Industry Association (HIA) revealed HomeBuilder has largely been responsible for the push in new home sales.

HomeBuilder has been extended until 31 March 2021, but has been cut by $10K. From 1 January, HomeBuilder looks like:

$15K grant for eligible first home buyers
Building contracts must be signed between 1 January and 31 March 2021
Applications can be submitted until 14 April 2021
Construction commencement has been extended by six months
VIC only, sees a property price cap increase to $850K
NSW only, sees a property price cap increase to $950K
All other States and Territories price cap remains of $750K
